The exterior features raised leaves and palm fronds as decoration. The pot has a domed lid with a collar. The painting style incorporates casually placed flowers and carefully painted insects, with shadows shaded in gray tones. This decorative style was popular in the 1730s and represents the first typical European-style ceramic painting. Patterns of flowers, fruits, and insects were taken from botanical pattern books, hence earning the name “graphic flower patterns.”
